Lesiba Modiba
Since 1990 Lesibe Modiba has been integral in many infrastructure projects throughout South Africa and has contributed his unparalleled skills to numerous teams of highly skilled consulting and construction engineers. He has contributed towards an array of advances, some of which included installation of municipal infrastructure services for residential, commercial and industrial developments, urban rural roads planning and design, stormwater attenuation and management systems, as well as and project management services for several provincial departments.
Much of his invaluable experience was gained during his early years as a Civil Engineer designing municipal infrastructure services such as water reticulation, sewer reticulation, stormwater attenuation and systems. He was also involved in the arterial roads and access streets for mass housing projects in Khayelitsha Village 3, Rooihuiskraal Meadowdale Industrial Township 14. Between 1995 and 1996 Lesibe was employed by one of the top five listed construction firms where he gained further experience in the construction of environmental management structures. These endeavours include engineered lined ponds for the retention of polluted mining process effluent, roads, water and wastewater treatment plants and other mining structures such as coal transfer works and heavy haul roads in Mpumalanga, Free State and Swaziland.
In 1997 Lesibe went back to the consulting engineering sector where he was pivotal in the compilation of the transportation plans for the athletes participating in the All Africa Games held in Johannesburg and the conceptual upgrade design of the railway stations along the Dunswart Daveyton rail corridor.
Lesibe holds a National Diploma in Civil Engineering, a B.Tech degree in Civil Engineering, is a member of the South African Black Technical and Allied Careers Organisation (SABTACO) and is legible to as a Professional Engineering Technologist with Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA)
